PEI Trucking Sector Council Initiative - Career Exposure for Youth in the PEI Trucking Sector
 The PEI Trucking Sector Council is launching an exciting new initiative that will assist Youth (Grade 10-12 and Post Secondary Students) find opportunities for employment within the PEI Trucking industry.  The project will place 15 students throughout the province in paid work terms with various employers in the PEI trucking industry.  This will all be done in effort to provide youth with some exposure to the many career options available to them in the trucking industry.

As part of this project, PEITSC will be hiring an Employment Coordiantor and 15 students for these placements.  The Employment coordinator position is currently posted with the student positions to be posted in the coming weeks.

Youth Employment Coordinator:

To assist in the delivery of this program, the PEI Trucking Sector Council is seeking a Youth Employment Coordinator.  The Youth Employment Coordinator’s role will be essential in the delivery and success of this program as they will assist in the recruitment, hiring and monitoring of all students throughout the work placement terms.  On a regular basis, they will meet with each employer and student to ensure satisfaction between all parties.  They will be the first point of contact for all communication between both employers and students.
